A fire broke out on the roof of Milwaukee’s Potawatomi Casino Hotel complex in the Valley on April 6.
No injuries were reported and no one was transported to the hospital, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department. The department responded at 11:30 a.m. and the fire was extinguished by 1:30 p.m.
Jay Saunders, a casino spokesman, said the entire building was evacuated after a fire broke out and was contained to the HVAC system on the roof. The hotel was not evacuated as it was not affected.
The casino is reopening to the public at 6 p.m. after Fire Chief Aaron Lipski confirmed the building was cleared for safety, Saunders said.
Smoke could be seen billowing out from the site on April 6.
