The Richland Hospital and Clinics (TRHC) sent four members of its Birth Center nursing team to complete Spinning Babies® training, joining two TRHC nurses who were already certified, further strengthening the organization’s commitment to providing highly personalized childbirth care.
Spinning Babies is an internationally recognized approach that focuses on maternal comfort, fetal positioning, and techniques that can help support smoother labor and delivery. By integrating these skills into everyday practice, the Birth Center team aims to offer families additional comfort measures and individualized support throughout the childbirth experience.
Tracy Brownlee, Birth Center Nursing Director at The Richland Hospital and Clinics, and class attendee. “This training underscores our dedication to continued learning and our commitment to providing the highest standard of care for every family we serve.”
Due to the success of the program, Brownlee intends to have all staff complete training by next year. The additional training complements the Birth Center’s long-standing emphasis on continuity of care. Unlike many facilities where patients may not know which provider will be available during labor, The Richland Hospital and Clinics prioritizes ensuring families see familiar, trusted faces throughout the entire pregnancy and delivery process.
By combining advanced professional training with a personalized and relationship-centered model of care, The Richland Hospital and Clinics’ Birth Center continues to enhance the childbirth experience for families across the region.
