Out of Control Barn Fire

The controlled burn of a barn in southeastern Fond du Lac County got out of control Saturday night.

According to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials a 911 call reported the fire on Old Bridge Road just after 9 pm. The property owner then called in to say it was a controlled burn. Despite that Kewaskum Fire Department and Campbellsport Ambulance responded to the fire in the town of Auburn.

Minutes later the original caller and property owner called 911 reporting the fire was now out of control. Property owners told deputies the barn was 40 by 60 feet in size.

The fire intensified and threatened nearby structures. Campbellsport and Eden Fire Departments responded to assist. No one was injured during the blaze and no other structures damaged.
