Wisconsin Rapids, WI (WFHR, WIRI)

United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties is now distributing the 2025 Help Guide for South Wood County. Help Guides are distributed throughout south Wood County at nonprofit organizations, government offices, clinics, banks, gas stations, and churches.

The Help Guide answers questions that someone going through a challenging time might be asking, such as “Where can I locate subsidized housing or rental assistance?” and “Where can I get help with childcare expenses?” The information provided is a snapshot of the resources available in the 211 database. Information can also be obtained by calling 211 and speaking with a resource specialist.

Elementary students at Assumption Catholic Schools, Port Edwards Public Schools, Nekoosa Public Schools, and Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools will also be sent home with a 2025 Help Guide for South Wood County.

If your business or organization distributes information to people in need and would like to include the Help Guide, please contact the United Way office at 715-421-0390 or via email here
